Trilla Privacy Policy

Last updated: 08/17/2026

Trilla ("Trilla", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile application developed and operated by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use the Trilla mobile application (the "App"). By using Trilla, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Username and display name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored securely in encrypted or hashed form)

Your email address is used solely for account identification and authentication. We do not use your email for marketing or promotional communications.

1.2 User-Generated Content

Because Trilla is a live streaming platform, we collect and store user-generated content, including:

  • Live audio streams
  • Recorded streams and video or audio submitted through Studio
  • Chat messages, direct messages, and comments
  • Profile information and biography you choose to provide

Stream Retention

Live streams may be temporarily recorded for up to 24 hours for moderation, safety, and platform integrity purposes. When an eligible broadcast is completed, Trilla may automatically create a private replay for the broadcaster. A replay is not made public unless the user chooses to publish or pin it. Saved replays are retained until deleted by the user or the user's account is removed.

1.3 Usage and Activity Data

We collect limited usage data to operate and improve the App:

  • Rooms joined
  • Chats sent
  • Number of times you go live
  • Basic timestamps related to activity

We do not use third-party advertising trackers and do not collect behavioral data for targeted advertising.

1.4 Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase a subscription or other in-app product, we receive information needed to verify and manage that purchase, such as the product, transaction or purchase token, and subscription status. Apple or Google processes your payment. Trilla does not receive or store your payment-card or bank-account credentials.

1.5 Technical Data

We may automatically collect certain technical information:

  • IP address
  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Device and push-notification identifiers
  • Connection and performance logs, including username or user ID, room, socket, session, broadcast-attempt and device identifiers
  • Audio route, timing and synchronization measurements and Studio processing events used to diagnose streaming problems

Diagnostic logs do not contain recordings of microphone audio. They are used to investigate reliability, audio, synchronization, queue, stability, and security issues reported by users.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate users and secure access
  • Enable live streaming, chat, and saved content
  • Display and promote eligible submitted content as described in our Terms of Use
  • Moderate content and enforce platform rules
  • Maintain app performance, reliability, and security
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on your location, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (providing the App's core features)
  • Legitimate interests (platform safety, moderation, security)
  • Legal compliance

4. Third-Party Services

Trilla uses trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the App, including but not limited to:

  • Cloud hosting and servers
  • Live streaming services
  • Databases and caching systems
  • App development and deployment services

These services may process data on our behalf strictly for operating Trilla and are required to maintain appropriate data protection standards.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Account data is retained while your account is active
  • Temporary live-stream recordings are retained for up to 24 hours; saved replays are retained until the user deletes them or the account is removed
  • Detailed streaming and Studio diagnostic traces are normally retained for up to 14 days for troubleshooting and security
  • Transaction, accounting, safety, moderation, and legal records may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary or required by law, with access restricted to those purposes

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

If you only want a specific post, recording, or use of your likeness removed, use the separate content-removal request instead.

6. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your account by emailing us at david@devporters.com or using the Request Account Deletion link on this page. Please include the email address associated with your account. We will confirm when the deletion is completed.

After we verify the request, deletion removes your account and profile, authentication sessions, registered device and push tokens, social relationships, messages and comments, and user content you own where deletion is legally permitted. Safety or moderation records, transaction and accounting records, and records required for legal compliance may be retained only as necessary for those purposes, with restricted access. Temporary live-stream recordings normally expire within 24 hours, and detailed diagnostic traces normally expire within 14 days.

7. International Users

Trilla is available globally. Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

8. Children's Privacy

Trilla is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no system can be 100% secure.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your data

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

11. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
